Central Election Commission Sets Voter Registration Deadline
Citizens have until the end of the month to register ahead of the general election scheduled for late June.
The Central Election Commission has confirmed that voter registration for the upcoming general election will close at midnight on the last day of April, urging citizens who have moved, turned 18, or are registering for the first time to update their details through online or in-person channels.
Officials estimate that approximately 800,000 eligible voters remain unregistered, with younger age groups and recent migrants to urban areas disproportionately represented in that figure.
A civic engagement campaign including social media outreach, university campus registration drives, and employer partnerships has been launched to maximise participation ahead of the deadline.
